Anjli Patel, O.D.
Dr. Anjli Patel was raised in the Texas Panhandle and always envisioned herself becoming an optometrist having glasses herself at a very young age. She moved to San Antonio when she was accepted into the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry’s 3+4 Bachelor of Vision Science / Doctor of Optometry program after completing high school in Amarillo, Texas. Dr. Patel is a Magna Cum Laude graduate in Vision Science and continued her professional studies at UIW where she later met Dr. Hiten. She is passionate about providing eye care to underprivileged communities and has participated in numerous mission trips in the rural areas of the Texas Rio Grande Valley. Her clinical externships were located in remote areas of East and North Texas as well as Louisiana where she received extensive training in primary eye care, ocular disease, surgical co-management, dry eye disease and emergency eye care. In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her family, trying new DIY projects from her Pinterest board and cooking different vegetarian friendly cuisines.
Hiten Patel, O.D.
Dr. Hiten Patel has his roots in the Texas Hill Country. He grew up in Kerrville and always envisioned himself coming back to serve the healthcare needs of rural Texas. Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Biochemistry and later received a Doctorate in Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry where he met Dr. Anjli. Dr. Patel received clinical optometric rotations in all aspects of optometry, however is passionate in ocular disease, primary care and specialty contact lenses. He is the recipient the Rosenberg School of Optometry Leadership Award and Parkhurst NuVision Excellence in Patient Care Award, along with many others. Dr. Patel is dedicated in serving his community and making eye care accessible to all. In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys watching the San Antonio Spurs and rooting for Longhorn Nation!
